iPhone for RM800

I was at the Amcorp Mall flea market last Sunday, just to hang out. I noticed one stall has a hand-written sign says iPhone 3G for RM800 - negotiable, original price RM2,100. Curious, I decided to take a look.

The stall was opened by several youngsters, selling various stuff like books and decorations. I asked to take a look at the phone. It looked a bit dusty, mainly because it uses a black, rubber phone cover, which we all know is an excellent dust magnet. The phone functioned smoothly, it was a breeze using some of the apps available. I was tempted to buy it, $800 is a low price enough and it's negotiable too.

Then I asked, "Does it have WiFi?". The answer "No" pretty much told me that I should stop there. I have been using my SE W890i for two years now & have been thinking if I should get a new one. If I do buy a new phone, I hope that it has a WiFi feature so that I can go online wherever there is a WiFi connection. Therefore, without so much as a second thought, I decided not to buy that iPhone.

As an alternative to buying a new phone, I also thought of buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

I did some light research on this tablet PC. It has a lot more features & functions compared to an iPad. Although it's smaller than iPad, the size is actually a bonus for me. Size & weight alone, I would rather carry the Galaxy Tab around than the iPad. The WiFi feature is a definite plus for me.

I would love to own a Galaxy Tab. If only it's not so expensive...
