How to connect & Don't sweat it
Perhaps (in my opinion) two of the must-read books in the current society of poor social/business relationships and letting the small and insignificant things to dominate your life.
I admit that I was, and still am, never socially active. Aside from work, most of my time was spent staying home, keeping company with my parents, maybe watch some TV but definitely reading something. I do hang out with friends once a while, do some shopping, talk a bit, but I was never a frequent patron of places such as mamak stalls, cinemas or pubs. Sometimes I just feel a bit awkward around people, not knowing what to say, etc. Buying "How to Instantly Connect with Anyone", I was hoping to improve on my social skills, even for just a little. Going through the book, I found some of the tricks can be quite useful if I get the chance to use them. Only a handful of the tricks may not be applicable here though.
I consider myself a bit of a care-free guy. Maybe that's why I felt that I could relate to the title "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...". We live in a stressful society and anything small and insignificant can trigger a barrage of negative emotions. While being somewhat care-free, I do have some of those moments too. This book will definitely help everyone to not sweat the small stuff.
