Review: “The Da Vinci Code”

I was expecting no difference between the movie and the novel when I was reading The Da Vinci Code. I was nonetheless mistaken but was glad I decided to read the book despite having watched the movie.

The book definitely offered more details where the movie understandably omitted to keep the flow interesting and engaging. Both the book and the movie were very good. However, having watched the movie, I found that the revealing of Sophie Neveu’s family in the book was rather anti-climatic, no “OMG!!” or “WTF?!” moment I would call it.

The book did raise quite some controversies when it came out and probably still got people thinking of the story’s implications. But whatever your belief lays, I still think it’s a good book to reach. After all, it did get millions of people reading books again and actively discuss about Christianity, wanting to know more about the religion.

As for me, I just want to read more of Dan Brown’s books.
