Movie day on Boxing Day

It’s been a long hiatus since my last update. I’ll just go straight to the point and start with my day on Boxing Day.

An old friend during my college days and I went to Sunway Pyramid on Boxing Day. Both of us haven’t watched any movies since Rio (Yup, it was that long ago), so we decided to catch two movies, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, on that same day.

We didn’t purchase the tickets online, so we have to buy on site. Early on, there was a long queue before three open counters. Luckily, we still managed to buy our tickets for relatively good seats. For MI:GP, we watched at IMAX, obviously. The movie was very exciting! My friend was very excited too, as Tom Cruise was her favorite actor and she got really animated whenever his character was dangerous situations. The movie was a nice mix of adventure, excitement and humor. Some movies could lean too much on the excitement that it could get a bit tiring, but that’s not the case in MI.

After a lunch and some window-shopping, we continue with Alvin at 8pm. The characters were as cute as expected and very funny too. I enjoyed the singing a lot. It’s nice to watch cartoons once in a while to connect with the kid inside every one of us.

It was a full 12-hour outing and I have to admit that it was a bit tiring since I don’t go out as much. But it was fun nonetheless.
