Have you been brainwashed to smoke cigarette?

For smokers who wanted to quit for good, you may want to read this to strengthen your resolve. For non-smokers, you may want to read this to stop yourself from even starting.

Allen Carr, who created the Easyway clinics to help smokers to end their addiction, wrote this book to dispel the illusions about smoking that smokers and non-smokers (more so for the former) were led to believe, such as smokers smoke because they choose to, smoking is a habit and just one cigarette won't hook you.

Carr also claimed in his book how the "Big 3" (the government, the medical profession and the media) failed to stop the nicotine addiction and why they ignored his Easyway method, which reported to have better success than any of the other methods in the market.

While I'm already aware that smokers smoke because of their nicotine addiction, it's interesting to find out the reasons why smokers said that smoking is just a habit to them, helps them relax, relieve boredom and concentrate on work. It also answered a question I had for a while, as to why smokers would say that the cigarette tastes better after a meal, a long day of work, etc.

Bought this book on a whim despite being a non-smoker (only cost me RM 3), but it was very informative. While I don't know how good is this Easyway method, but if it can help people to become a happy non-smoker instead of a suffering non-smoker and has celebrity clients such as Jason Mraz, Pink, Ellen DeGeneres, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Hopkins and Richard Branson, I suppose it's quite effective.

I think it's a good book, even though the author was quite straight-forward with his statements and not pulling any punches even when talking against the "Big 3". For smokers who wanted to quit, you might want to try this book too while reading The Nicotine Conspiracy:
